Yum

I had an especially lovCappucino Torteely summer weekend. One highlight was dinner with hubby at my favorite restaurant, French Meadow Bakery & Cafe. I started with their beautifully healthy and delicious evening special: Organic garbanzo bean & quinoa salad with shaved fennel, asparagus, grape tomato, orange segments, mizuna greens and cucumber herb sorbet. And finished it off with half of this guy (pictured left). The Cappucino Torte. One of my all-time favorite desserts (rivaled by the Feullantine Pralinee Chocolate Cake at Patrick’s Bakery & Cafe). Anyway, this treat was justified by two things. 1) Reaching my 20-pound weight loss which was accomplished by months of NOT eating at places ending in “Bakery & Cafe,” and 2) … TMI ALERT … the PMS-ing that hit after the end of the birth control pills (which were prescribed and scheduled as part of the IVF cycle).

Sky at concertAnother highlight was yesterday’s Jack Johnson concert. Hubby and I laid out a blanket, did some great people watching, and listened to some of our favorite music: Love is the answer at least for most of the questions in my heart, like… Why are we here? And where do we go? And how come it’s so hard? It’s not always easy and sometimes life can be deceiving. I’ll tell you one thing, it’s so much better when we’re together.
