“Zero” News = FET News

My hCG finaaaaally hit zero last week. There was no explosion of confetti and streamers, but there was a phone call to schedule our frozen embryo transfer (FET). And I like having things scheduled.

I will start Lupron injections on December 15, and baby aspirin and estrogen tablets on December 25 (a very merry(?) Christmas). In case you’re wondering, the Lupron is to “suppress untimely ovulation,” the baby aspirin is for “blood flow,” and the estrogen is to “thicken the uterine lining.” THIS will be the time to “think thick”, KW!

The transfer is estimated for January 13. Hubby’s 30th birthday. Aren’t we just a couple of party animals? The IVF schedule pretty much owns us right now, so I guess we’ll be rescheduling the birthday instead. Fortunately, cake tastes good whenever you celebrate!

That’s all for now. More waiting, as usual. Three months. But I’m sure the holidays will help it fly by.

Yay! Glad to see you are on your way. It’s insane how IVF totally runs your life, but i love being monitored and KNOWING what is going on as opposed to just wondering for weeks …

    Good luck with everything :)

Alright! I will be thinking thick around December 25th! Which shouldn’t be a problem as my waistline normally gets a little thicker around then anyways!

This blog post made me realize that I dislike the word “thick”.

That being said, yippee, news!! Fingers and toes and eyes all crossed for you guys.

It’s a combination of not having much to report, plus working long hours and weekends for an upcoming deadline. I’ll try to find my voice soon :)
