Hello, March

Nice to see you. I wish you brought some spring weather. But I’ll let you off the hook since you bring me one step closer to starting our next fresh IVF cycle—with injections starting in just a few weeks. Funny what little things you can turn into milestones when you’re waiting… patiently… ahem.

We are all set so far. We were able to borrow [more] money from my parents (thanks guys). We had a successful nurse consultation. And we received my meds from a different pharmacy because my insurance changed (I was worried that this was going to cause issues, but it was actually easier—and cheaper to boot).

Hubby will be out of town when I start my Lupron, so that means self-injections. Since this is our third time around and Lupron is in the stomach, I’m fine handling it on my own (I did a couple times during our first cycle). Between the injections and the blood draws, I have definitely gotten over my fear of needles. There’s a plus I guess! But when he’s home, I will still want him to do it—mostly so he’s part of the process, too. And because it’s not like I enjoy it. Even though I can’t wait to get started.

As I mentioned, I’ve been managing to keep busy. Between house projects, work deadlines and a new workout routine, I soaked up some sun with my dad at his new Arizona home. And blew off some steam with my awesome friends at K’s cabin:

P.S. I am totally feeling today’s post by Foxy (who is also starting her injections this month). Wish I had said it myself. Visit her blog and check out her positive ‘tude:

    Saw you on cyclesista…

I’ll be starting injections in a few weeks for IVF w/PGD also. My husband and I are carriers for a peroxisomal biogenesis disorder called Zellweger Syndrome (NALD – neonatal adrenaleukodystrophy is a part of the ZS spectrum).

Best wishes for your upcoming cycle!
